BEASTY OLD-SCHOOL DEATH METAL
It’s a certainty that untamed powers are at play when the band name is Baest. The Danish word means (yep, you guessed it!) ‘beast’, and these beasts deliver old-school death metal with nods to both Entombed and Bloodbath as well as American pioneers such as Death and Obituary.
Baest got together in 2015, and since their live debut at the Danish Royal Metal Fest in Aarhus in 2016, they have been talk of the town. The Aarhus-based band have proved themselves to be a solid upcoming metal act who knows how to make the ground quake and tremble.
The five-piece put out their debut EP, Marie Magdalene, in 2016. With a brutal, whipping, fast-paced delivery and evil-and-throaty vocals, it’s no wonder that there’s lots of hype surrounding these lads.
Baest has supported the likes of Illdisposed. In all fairness, it won’t be long before they headline their own shows.
Catch Baest on their way up from the underground as they eat up our Rising stage at Roskilde Festival 2017.
